It wasn’t the long time it took for WWE to give CM Punk in his first match after his return to the WWE when he took on a match against DominikMysterio on Tuesday evening on the night of Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Always busy

The event was sold out and set a record for the highest-grossing live non-televised show in history for the whole company. Prior to this event Punk’s final match in WWE was in 2014 at the Royal Rumble.

Another match was scheduled to be the WWE Live event scheduled for the Saturday of December 30th on Kia Forum. Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA. Punk has confirmed his participation participating in The Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

Punk is also scheduled to appear on the 8th of January at Raw at Portland, Oregon, and returning to Raw on January 22nd for the performance at New Orleans. The appearances of Punk have not been confirmed at the moment.

The incident

WrestleTix has been keeping track of the sales of tickets for Saturday’s house show, which has been booming. Prior to when Punk was announced the show, they sold 8,816 tickets for an overall total of 11,991. Five days after, they sold 1,560 tickets, with the total number of tickets distributed of 10,376.

On the 21st of December, WWE had sold an additional 1,581 tickets. The report on Thursday added another 939 tickets sold, totalling 12,896, and 797 were left for a total of 13,693.
