Despite the tribal nature of some fans, wrestlers can still have more choices in their matches. Chris Jericho appears to be anticipating CM Punk’s return to WWE and his potential departure from AEW on unfavorable terms.

AEW All In witnessed the termination of History Punk’s tenure after his altercation with Jack Perry. Following the event, Jericho had a conversation with Punk. Jericho reportedly labeled Punk as a cancer in the locker room and apologizing to The Elite for their “unnecessary damage” following his All-Out brawl. He also made headlines on Christmas for his discussion of the NDA related to the backstage incident with Punk’s lawyer. Jericho has publicly lauded and expressed his desire to compete with Punk in AEW. According to Jericho, AEW had no Punk presence, as he told WFAA. The WWE team made a comeback with ‘Punk’ as it returned to the in-ring after defeating Dominik Mysterio at 1:00 pm during (inside WWE) and hosting rematches at their respective venues. A promo from Punk revealed the beginning of his story at WrestleMania 40. Jericho made a comment on the WWE Instagram post about Punk’s return, as seen below.
