After giving the crew and talents their holiday break and with the most recently aired episodes that included Raw as well as SmackDown being the best-of shows, while the final two months of NXT television has been recorded, things are returning to normal.

WWE delivered Raw’s Day 1 edition of Raw on Monday, with a packed program, featuring World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns fighting his title against Drew McIntyre and a surprise appearance by The Rock. The show on Friday’s SmackDown is The New Year’s Revolution show.

Tonight’s NXT show will be The New Year’s Evil special with NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov taking on. Trick Williams, NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria against. Blair Davenport, and the NXT Men’s Breakout Finals of the Tournament.

The issue

Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde Joaquin Wilde Cruz Del Toro vs. Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey as well as Damon Kemp were originally booked for the show, however Lee has now announced that he needed to cancel due to issues with his visa. It’s not clear who will take his place during the show.

Pwinsider reports that there aren’t any immediate issues with Lee’s latest work visa to WWE within the United States and that it was accepted. Because of the Christmas season it was not received at the time he needed it to return in NXT in the United States for NXT.

They were informed the following “Lee is expected back in the States relatively soon and could even be back as soon as Friday’s Smackdown. It’s just a matter of the visa being physically in his hands.”
