Speculation Swirls: WrestleMania Clash for LA Knight Was on the Table

LA Knight may still be waiting for a memorable match at WWE’s biggest show, WrestleMania 40, this April in Philly in the event that WWE decides to go with an opponent they’ve considered with him in the past.

Knight enjoyed a stellar year in 2023. He also fell just short of Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. He also took part with a four-way fatal fight together with Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles last month at the Royal Rumble.

Knight will be battling Drew McIntyre next Friday on SmackDown. Knight will also take part in with Drew McIntyre in the Elimination Chamber match to determine the World Heavyweight Championship challenger for Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 that also features Orton, McIntyre, Kevin Owens, US Champion Logan Paul as well as Bobby Lashley.

A possible match

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select said in a Q&A session that Knight and. Paul was discussed. It’s not clear if this is still the case since it appears that the WrestleMania card has gone through a number of modifications. “That was the idea. I’m not sure whether it was the plan however, it was discussed at some point.”
