WWE Registers Trademarks for Multiple SmackDown Ring Names

WWE has recently initiated the process of trademarking several ring names.

Among the trademarks filed on March 22 are Akam, Paul Ellering, The Creed Brothers, The LWO, Ivar, Carlito, and Rezar. These filings were made under the entertainment services classification with The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Additionally, WWE has sought trademarks for Breakout and #DIY, which refers to the tag team composed of Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano. The trademarks cover a range of entertainment services related to wrestling exhibitions, performances, broadcasting via television, radio, internet, and online services. They also encompass providing wrestling news, sports, and entertainment information through online platforms, organizing sporting events and social entertainment for fan club members, and offering online newsletters and journals in the field of sports entertainment.

In recent developments, Legado Del Fantasma has been embroiled in a feud with The LWO following Santo Escobar’s betrayal of Rey Mysterio and the recruitment of Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza. Similarly, Karrion Kross and AOP have been engaged in a feud with Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits over the past few months.

Looking ahead, Ciampa and Gargano are scheduled to compete in the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship six-pack challenge ladder match at WrestleMania 40. They will be facing off against other notable tag teams such as New Day, Miz & R-Truth, and the reigning champions, The Judgment Day.
