WWE’s Shotzi revealed on Instagram that her ACL tear will keep her out for “nine months”. She suffered the injury last week while taping NXT, which airs tonight.

She wrote: “I tore the ACL, which means that I will be out for approximately 9 months.” I want to thank everyone who checked in on me. Sorry if I didn’t respond. I’m just incredibly angry and devastated. You may know that I’ve been through a lot in the past few years. It has been hard to keep up what I believe is expected of myself and my mental health was at an all-time low. But I’ve made it through, and I felt motivated and like me again. I wanted to go to NXT so that I could prove myself, gain some respect, regain my confidence, and put the pain of the last 2 years behind me. I feel defeated but also motivated. I’ve been through worse. I’ve seen my sister fight a tougher battle against cancer. This is a signal to slow down. It was really hard for me to not take time off after both my stepdad’s and dad’s deaths. “I am excited to come back stronger not only physically, but also mentally.”

Shotzi’s injury changed plans for the match scheduled last week between Tiffany Stratton and Shotzi on SmackDown. Wishing her well on the road to recovery.
