Earlier this year, Daraia Bernato, also known as Sonya Deville, was apprehended for possessing a gun in her automobile. Although she had a permit in Florida, the arrest was made in New Jersey.

She was charged with possessing a handgun without permission, leading to one count of illegal weapon possession. Deville settled the charge, however.

Deville completed a pretrial intervention program that lasted six months in late November, as per Courrier Post. The Superior Court Judge, Bernard DeLury Jr. She was accepted into the program in Mays Landing.

In the past, Deville was a victim of home invasion in 2020 as Phillip A. The charges against Thomas II included aggravated stalking, attempted armed kidnapping, criminal mischief, and burglary. He confessed and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Deville’s ACL injury in August resulted in a 9–12-month absence.
