Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) has been Diagnosed in Raquel Rodriguez.

Raquel Rodriguez shared in her Instagram account that she’s identified with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). Rodriguez said this hindered her from doing things that she like doing, such as exercising and wrestling. Rodriguez stated that her family is the most supportive group for her. Rodriguez said she plans to share more information as she gains more of an knowledge of what’s happening.

As per the American Academy for Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology the term “mass cell activation” syndrome “a condition in which the patient experiences repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis – allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing and severe diarrhea. High levels of mast cell mediators are released during those episodes.”
