Jim Perry, the DEFY founder, expressed his joy “I’ve been a fan of PROGRESS since its inception and, in a way, they were the inspiration behind the development of DEFY. We’ve been friends for quite a while and have been working on a variety of collaborations, including our double-show that was a huge success in London in August. I’m extremely enthusiastic about the possibilities for our more formal getting together, and fans are likely to discover some truly innovative ideas coming up.”

Martyn Best of PROGRESS Wresting added “Lee and I are very happy to have Jim along with Matt Farmer joining us at PROGRESS. This is an important step in our larger plans for greater international cooperation. We have previously had a solid partnership in content with WWE and we also have been developing a relationship that we have with Japanese promotional Pro Wrestling NOAH. With DEFY joining us, I am certain that our fans will be very eager to see what’s in the coming months.

“We will continue our relationship in Philadelphia by having both performances in The Collective immediately prior to WrestleMania 40. We are planning a second joint event at the upcoming WrestleMania 40 show in London nearer the end of this year. DEFY will also be available in DEMAND PROGRESS PLUS which is our live streaming platform in the near future, and we’ve got some intriguing concepts to showcase the incredible wrestlers we work with.”
