Randy Orton Responds to Vince McMahon Allegations: “It Really Aches My Heart”
Randy Orton, the latest WWE superstar to speak out on allegations made against former WWE CEO Vince McMahon.
Allegations
Janel Grant, a former WWE worker, filed a lawsuit alleging that McMahon was involved in a scandal involving sex abuse and trafficking. In the lawsuit, former executive John Laurnatis and the company were also named.
Orton was asked to address the allegations when he spoke with Sports Illustrated.
Orton said, “I have to admit this: I wouldn’t be here without Vince McMahon having taken a few chances on me.” “I wouldn’t be where I am without Vince McMahon. But, —, f I’m still reading this crap. I have seen and heard what you have. It hurts my heart to comment on it. It hurts me.”
Orton went on to discuss how WWE has changed. He confirmed that Vince, before Orton was injured in a serious back accident, had the television scripts rewritten multiple times and writers were held until early morning. This has changed now that Triple H is in charge.
Changes
“I am very pleased with the changes, and I am very happy that Nick Khan and Triple H are living up to their words. The company has changed and cares about talent. “I think everyone feels the same.”
Orton will be competing in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match on Saturday. The winner will face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Title.
