The return of CM Punk to the ring was a Historic Event for WWE at Madison Square Garden

The opening night of WWE’s Holiday Tour house show on Tuesday featured appearances at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Baltimore, MD. During the show, the Raw cast was in action, while also witnessing the return of CM Punk and working alongside the SmackDown team on another episode.

Punk returned.

After being dismissed from WWE on his wedding day, Punk returned to WWE and competed in his first WWE match since the Royal Rumble. He also won against Samoa Joe in the opening bout on the card a few months ago, which was not part of his contract at the time.

He fought Dominik Mysterio before their rematch at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday, December 30. Punk went through the contest before cutting a promo for his new story that started at WrestleMania 40.
