The Rock and Roman Reigns match is Reportedly still in the Works

Cody Rhodes won this year’s 30-Man Royal Rumble event last Saturday evening at Tampa, FL, and clearly stated that he intends to take on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title at WrestleMania 40.

In an interview on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE will continue with Rhodes and. Reigns, but they’re still planning to stage The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at some time in 2024. It’s not entirely clear what this means for WrestleMania because there’s been speculation that each match could take place on a different evening, and with Reigns performing in tandem on dates.
