WWE Royal Rumble Recap: Logan Paul Secures US Title Via DQ

WWE United States Champion Logan Paul and. Kevin Owens took place at the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event in Tampa, FL at Tropicana Field.

Owens engaged in a fight with Paul immediately in the first round. The two fought on the floor and ended with Owens hitting an in-flight splash onto the floor. Paul kicked Owens hand, and later struck an external dive. Paul took aim at Owens’s “injured” hand. Owens stood up and hit a cannonball into the corner before landing the frog with a splash for two. Owens attempted a Swanton attack off of the rope on top but Paul pulled his knees up. Paul took the move, but Owens left. Paul with the frog splash to get 2. Owens with a frog splash for two. Paul has an elite right hand for two. Jeff of Paul’s entourage was out to the ring, only to be removed. Paul and Owens dressed in a double t-shirt. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller appeared as well. Waller provided Paul brass knuckles. Owens got them and smashed Paul with the knuckles, but the referee noticed the knuckles, which led to the DQ. Owens put out Paul by blasting him into the announce table following the game.
