At the Royal Rumble in Tampa, FL on Saturday, Jordynne Grace made a rare WWE appearance as the #5 contender during the Women’s Royal.

The moment that Grace had a successful round in the fight and even took on Naomi, who handed her the Knockouts Title at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view show earlier this month, before she was knocked out. Grace is still under contract by TNA.

According to Pwinsider, WWE contacted TNA to inquire about her appearance in the match and provided additional information. A source within WWE suggests that the idea was a spinoff of Triple H.

Internal reaction

Internal reactions were evident when both sides reached an agreement, as WWE sought to create an unconventional concept. Mickie James was able to walk out with the Knockouts Title in a previous WWE match. Although there are no specific plans for her future, it was rumored that Grace impressed many WWE superstars with her performance in the ring. At rehearsals on Thursday, Fightful Select reported that Grace was aware of her spot in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. The physical and blood tests were conducted on Monday for Grace. TNA and Grace were both easy targets for those contacted in WWE during their interviews.
