After a Period of Recovery, WWE Star Returns to In-Ring Action

WWE is bringing one of their most promising prospects returning from the sidelines after being absent for a long period due to an injury.

Event

WWE hosted the NXT Live event last Friday night in Crystal River, FL, that was highlighted with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria’s retention against Lola Vice. The event also saw the return to ring of Sol Ruca.

When she made her debut in the ring during the summer of 2022. Ruca was a hit with WWE officials following a successful run with the development brand. WWE was considering offering Ruca an opportunity to be an NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Dani Palmer before Ruca was eliminated.

The return

Ruca was eliminated from TV in May, in the special spring Breakin’ episode of NXT along with the former NXT women’s champion Indi Hartwell as well as Grayson Waller. Ruca was forced to leave the show due to an ACL tear.

The house show was a success. Ruca was joined by Brinley Reece to perform (Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail).
