The new film, “Dune: Part Two,” was released in its first theatrical release in the US in the last week of September and was a huge success on the screen. The first movie earned $402 million for the studio.

Denis Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts created the film that was directed with Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Patrick McCormick, Denis Villeneuve along with Tanya Lapointe.

Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgard along with Jason Momoa, returned to the franchise with characters from the original film. Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Lea Seydoux joined the cast for the second movie. Bautista plays Glossu Rabban who is the brute cousin to Baron Harkonnen.

Box office successes

As per Box Office Mojo, the film has grossed $178.5 million across the globe and 97 million of that came international in addition to $81.5 million in America in theaters that have 4,071 screens. The opening night was a success it grossed $32.3 million, and then $28.8 million on the Saturday, and finally $20.3 million on Sunday.

The budget is said as $190 million. The film was atop “Bob Marley: One Love” with $7.4 million, “Ordinary Angels” with $3.9 million in addition to “Madame Web” with $3.2 million at the box office.
