Injured WWE Talent Set to Return in the Near Future

Keep an eye out for this star

It appears WWE might be able to bring one star back to the ring who was absent from wrestling action for more than one year while the company gets towards WrestleMania.

Injury

The star in question was Dakota Kai, who suffered an ACL tear during the 12th of May edition of SmackDown during an emcee match working together with Bayley with Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

This week Kai shared this video on Instagram in which she said that she was near to returning to the ring. Kai was filming promotional material, and she had her ring on prior to editing it.

This happens at a time that Kai has been appearing on TV for the last few months, but not wrestling, as the group is growing.

Timing

The group recently slammed Bayley during the last episode of SmackDown following the fact that Bayley was informed that they’d spoken negatively about the singer in Japanese. Kai was not part of the show.

In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that “Damage Ctrl has filmed WrestleMania graphics but did not have Kai to be fair. Kai will be back fairly soon.”

Hopefully, Kai can make it back on time to be ready for WrestleMania in April, when IYO SKY defends the WWE Women’s Title against Bayley.
