Injury-Free Hangman Adam Page May Miss AEW Revolution Due to Personal Matter

Some confusion was evident last night and in the morning regarding Hangman Adam Page’s position on AEW Revolution after he appeared to have injured his ankle in a fight on Dynamite.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, Page worked an ankle injury but is in good health. The reason the injury was a result of his work after the match is to ensure that there is a plausible reason for his absence from this AEW Revolution live pay-per view. Page is believed to be suffering from some personal issues and could or might not be able wrestle in the pay-per-view. He’s scheduled to compete against Swerve Strickland, and Samoe Joe in a three-way show.

Alvarez said that because his vacation was in Hawaii and could not watch Dynamite until 1 AM Eastern. He started receiving text messages concerning Hangman before the show was even on. the show as people were asking whether he had suffered an injury. For those who did not catch the show, Hangman held his ankle after being thrown onto his foot, after that, he slipped out of the rings. Hangman was heard warning the cameraman not to record him.

Alvarez claimed that he had spoken to employees who weren’t aware of what was happening, but were informed that Hangman was injured. The next morning, employees called Alvarez to inform him that Hangman wasn’t injured.

Alvarez stated, “Essentially what happened was, Hangman is not hurt. Hangman is, however, I’m not sure if the participants in the match were aware. The only thing I know is that almost no one knew. He was injured in his ankle. The reason why he had to work an ankle was because there was something happening in his life that it is possible that he will not be able to take part in the pay-per-view. Therefore, he suffered the ankle injury. In essence, if he’s able to participate in the pay-per view, then it think he’s able to “tape the ankle” and continue to work since it’s not really hurt. If he can’t work the pay-per-view then this is the cover story as to why he can’t work the pay-per-view…virtually nobody knew about it.”

Alvarez claimed that it is possible that players did not know about the ankle injury as he performed it after the game when he was no longer required. Hangman is well-liked by his colleagues and this isn’t being thought of as him being averse to his coworkers. This is a simple thing Hangman did to provide himself an excuse in case it was the case that he could not attend Revolution.
