NJPW Debut Alert: AEW Star to Step into the Ring

NJPW will commence its New Japan Cup campaign with a prominent AEW competitor. March 6th marks the start of 28 wrestlers.

The tournament, which ends on March 20, features Shota Umino, Kenta, and Taichi as its participants. On the opening night of promotion, AEW’s Jack Perry will be making his debut by taking on Shota Umino in his first match since All In.

Perry has been absent since the incident with CM Punk at AEW All In in August. The incident led to Perry’s suspension and Punk’S release.

At the NJPW Battle in the Valley event, Perry resumed wrestling. Perry retaliated against Shota Umino during the event. An armband with the word “Scapegoat” was worn by Perry after he broke an AEW contract.
There has been no update on Perry’s return to All Elite Wrestling.
