It appears that WWE is circling back to the idea of Rey & Dominik Mysterio facing off against each other at WrestleMania 40.

Revisiting the Feud At WrestleMania 39, the father-son duo concluded their prolonged storyline, with the WWE Hall of Famer emerging victorious in a singles match. Subsequently, Rey continued his journey with the LWO faction, engaging in a feud with Legado Del Fantasma after being betrayed by Santo Escobar.

Escobar expanded his group by recruiting Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza. While the LWO consists of Rey, Wilde, Toro, Carlito, and Zelina Vega, Legado Del Fantasma includes Escobar, Carrillo, Garza, and Elektra Lopez. According to Dave Meltzer, “Rey and Dominik in some form are currently planned to work in a match, but it’s not clear how many others are involved.”

Upcoming Plans In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer highlighted Dominik’s involvement in Escobar’s recent victory over Rey on SmackDown, hinting at the resurgence of their rivalry.
