Ex-WWE Champion likely to join AEW

It is likely to hear about lots of signings over the next months and weeks because there are a lot of pro wrestlers who are on the open market.

A name that have been discussed in the last few months has been Mercedes Mone, the former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. She has had her status in the air due to her ankle injury. However, at one time there was a belief that she was bound for AEW after Tony Khan invited her to go to AEW ALL in LONDON in August.

There were plans in the works for Mone as there was a feeling that she’d sign, however she was also in discussions about a deal with WWE in the past and plenty of speculation about her potential return to the WWE. Money had teases to drop this day on her social networks which suggested the possibility of a WWE return, but she was believed to be considering signing one of the biggest contracts in women’s wrestling history, and both sides could not agree on the deal.Fightful Select has reported the talks are continuing with AEW and while there’s no confirmation that the deal is in place, a source said that both parties agreed to terms, but also reiterated that nothing is legal until it is officially signed. There is a belief that AEW will be her first place. Mone being in AEW will be a huge increase for the company as well as the women’s roster by 2024.
