AEW has plenty of talent in contract and not all of them can be utilized for a role, due to a lack of originality injuries, personal injury, or time. With all of these factors in place wrestlers could fall through the cracks and not get a spot-on TV.

Absence

For PAC the wrestler has been in the hospital due to an injury. The last time he played was on the 26th of July on Dynamite in which he defeated Gravity.

Tony Schiavone announced on an episode of Rampage in August that PAC was out with an injury, but the exact nature of the injury was not revealed. He was previously injured and played only three games between injuries. One of them was The Blood & Guts match, working together with Blackpool Combat Club and Konosuke Takeshita and losing the match to The Golden Elite (Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi as well as The Young Bucks).

The return

In an Highspots Virtual signing event, Penta El Zero Miedo stated that PAC would be back in the near future. In an interview on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also confirmed that PAC will be returning shortly.

“He’s returning shortly, I’m sure. He’s been gone for a long and long time. He’s certainly not a game-changer however, he’s definitely a good wrestler to show on TV and also in matches. Do you know what I’m talking about? So so good,” Meltzer stated.
