Tama Tonga from NJPW Set to Join WWE Ranks

WWE expects to sign an important unsigned free agent named Tama Tonga.

Dave Meltzer reports the top NJPW star is set to join the WWE after having worked for NJPW for more than 14 years. He was crowned this weekend in tag match in which he was joined by their brother, Tanga LOA.

They also played their older brothers, Hikuleo, and Phantasmo and manager Jado as the referee. For Tonga the man, he’s been on WWE’s radar for quite a while.

Tonga began his career with All Japan Pro Wrestling, in which he was King Tonga, Haku, and Meng before moving on to NJPW which was in which he was in The Bullet Club alongside AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.

When he was with NJPW He held the Tag Team Titles of the IWGP seven times in conjunction with Loa and also held the Never Openweight Title four times.
