Will Ospreay is AEW-bound as the wrestler is wrapping up his time his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling with his final match at the can. It’s been months since Ospreay made one of the biggest choices of his life. That was to quit the Japan promotion this year and joining AEW.

The choice

The star of the moment was attracting attention from a variety of shows that were expected to offer his services, such as WWE, AEW, and TNA. He decided to join AEW. A formal announcement was made during Full Gear on November, and he was able to start full-time with AEW Revolution.

TNA was at the forefront of a bid to acquire Ospreay and the offer resulted in him receiving a “massive offer,” likely the biggest offer made to one individual since Anthem assumed ownership of the business.

The match took place at NJPW New Beginnings in Osaka this Sunday Will Ospreay finished up with NJPW as The War Dogs beat United Empire to the WarGames match.

Ospreay tweeted following the show on Saturday “Thank You, New Japan Pro Wrestling. I’m truly looking forward to missing you all. I truly love you all.”
