Tony Khan Discusses the Exit of AEW star
AEW/Tony Khan addressed it

As we approached the AEW World End pay-per-view show there were reports that the show could be the final appearance of one actor.

The end

Andrade El Idolo Andrade El Idolo. Miro took place as the plotline included that CJ Perry was in love with her husband but was a snob because her husband was Andrade.

At some point, Perry swept out Andrade’s arms from the ring, disorienting Andrade and Miro knocked him down with an unstoppable kick. Miro was able to finish his submission to victory. While still not officially confirmed, it’s likely Andrade will return to WWE.

Khan’s remarks

In a press conference following the event, AEW president Tony Khan addressed the reports of Andrade’s resignation.

“He’s been an incredible participant in this year’s Continental Classic week after week. I’ve talked about the great run Collision’s had. Andrade was a big part of the success. He also wrestled on other shows, as well as his role in the Blue League of the Continental Classic. He’s outstanding. I wanted him to stay active at the top of the list and, had we been able to come to an agreement, surely there would be a chance that who would be into a prominent position.

I’m sure we did all we could to honor Andrade. We do appreciate his contribution to the team. In my opinion, this performance he’s had over the last few months has been awe-inspiring. If this happens to be his way of going to go from AEW and talk about his departure with a positive note, because the match was fantastic with Miro today, which is something fans have wanted to watch for a long time. Miro has stated that he is willing to honor this year’s Continental Classic, in part because I had demanded that he do it. I didn’t want to allow him to interfere with the sport and cause any interference from outside since there weren’t any personal conflicts.

There was never any intention to interfere. It was just fantastic wrestling. I thought that Andrade’s matches …. week every week wereincredible. At the Continental Classic, we also spoke to CMLL, and I said that I would love to have the tournament up, as Andrade had a rich history there. La Sombra has a great story in Mexico. I am a huge fan of his and found it to be something enjoyable to make.

I’m not sure what the future holds but I am certain that Andrade is an excellent wrestler. I was happy to see him there and winning a memorable match tonight. And in the event that it was his final match in AEW as well, he ended his career with a great impression in the last few months, thanks to The Continental Classic, the great matches he’s played since the start in the Collision week in week out and also the match tonight that was a great one and certainly in the company of Miro.”
