Tony Khan expresses his desire to see MJF join AEW in next, if contractual conditions permit

Tony Khan recently spoke with Tony Khan on the “Going Ringside” podcast on a range of AEW-related issues. The 1st of January, MJF’s name removal was announced from the AEW website’s roster. While there are rumors that claim he renewed his contract with the firm in the past, MJF has stated that the company has not offered him a new contract with AEW. He won’t be back on the air for a while and could be off at the close of the year if there is a shoulder operation.

When questioned on the show by Scott Johnson about MJF’s status and his exclusion from the AEW roster on the website, Khan said the following: “I can say that MJF certainly was an integral part of AEW in the initial five years. In the five years has been one of the best local stars…and we greatly appreciate and would like to see MJF as a member of AEW at some point in the near future if the circumstances of his contract permit.”

When asked if this was a continuing discussion about MJF, Khan said, “Certainly MJF is somebody we would like to see as an AEW in the future. He’s been a fantastic wrestler as well as a competitor for the team.”

The whole interview, which also discusses negotiations between AEW and WWE as well as possible talks between WWE and WBD reaching a deal you can watch it below.
