With the year of 2019 getting underway the business of wrestling enters an exciting time in its history because WWE has already secured contracts for TV rights to NXT and SmackDown but is trying to secure the rights to Raw before the deadline for this fall.

AEW is in the middle of a media rights contract together with Warner Bros Discovery through the remaining portion of the year, however, it is still unable to sign the terms of a new agreement. The future of NWA is in doubt with concerns over the CW Network and the cocaine spot scandal, and MLW is looking to increase it’s market shares in the US. This means that there will be more money for companies that are providing more cash to the talent with choices.

As the year begins many wrestlers have been able to enter the market of free agents which is something Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select put together an inventory of.

The names

The first to be introduced will be QT Marshall. The wrestler left the business after insisting that he would like to wrestle rather than work behind the desk in the front office or as trainer.
