AEW has plenty of wrestlers on contract, with some of them being utilized each week, and others being used only very sparingly due to only so much TV time. Other wrestlers are only used to compete in Ring of Honor

Malakai Black joined All Elite Wrestling shortly after his departure from WWE. Black created an alliance alongside Brody King, called the Kings of the Black Throne and then brought on Buddy Matthews as House of Black which they now compete within the division of trios just following his entry.

The group also contributed to the popularity of TBS Champion Julia Hart, who defeated Abadon last Saturday at Worlds End.

In September, Black revealed he had suffered minor injuries. That’s why he was only working tag matches. The last time he played was at the 2nd of December Collision at which he and Matthews defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal.

In a tweet on Twitter, Black responded to a fan who claimed he was refusing to take on other wrestlers the top, citing an article that stated Black had no one-on-one matches between 2023 and. Black’s last singles contest took place against Penta Oscuro in June 2022.

Black said, “Usually I don’t reply to these hilarious takes from nerds who are hilarious is the reason this forum is like people stepping out of their doors and shouting their exprement-laced opinions out into the streets, but that has was never the case, so it’s not something that happens. Happy ny.”
