Challenge Issued by Matt Riddle to HEAVY NJPW Star at New Year Dash

Matt Riddle has been active in MLW and is now heading to NJPW.

Journey: Riddle had a great time in WWE NXT and on the main roster, but then things took tiff after Randy Orton’s untimely death to his back resulted in him losing the Raw Tag Team Titles. The two’s feud was cancelled by WWE following this incident.

Riddle sought treatment for substance abuse after failing drug tests and ended up in rehab last summer. He had been partnered with Drew McIntyre before his departure. Riddle was one of several talented individuals released by the company, affecting both NXT and the main roster some months ago.

On January 6, Riddle will be taking on MLW Kings Of Colosseum in his match against Jacob Fatu. MLW TV has featured him on several pre-tapes in recent weeks.
Riddle challenged Hiroshi Tanahashi to compete in the NJPW World TV Championship in a vignette during the New Year Dash. It is not known when the fight will occur.

Riddle was not known to Tanahashi, who said that he would need to research.
