Trial Ahead for AEW's Cash Wheeler on Charges of Aggravated Assault Involving a Firearm
Here’s the latest

Cash Wheeler (real name Daniel Wheeler) faces one count of aggravated assailant with a gun after being arrested in the year 2023.

On July 28, a warrant was issued for his arrest after the incident on July 27. On August 3, he pleaded guilty via his lawyer at his first court appearance. Wheeler had to turn over all of his firearms to the local police department until the trial was over.

Wheeler is accused of flashing a gun in a road-rage incident. His attorney said at the time that this was not an issue involving a family member and he did not know who the other parties involved were. In Florida, the charge is a third-degree felony.

Pwinsider obtained court documents that show Wheeler was not present for his arraignment.

Trial will begin on May 20th. Pre-trial proceedings will begin on May 7, when he is ordered to appear.
